Family-Related Visas (K1, K3, V)

Family-related visas include K-1, K-3, and V visas, which allow foreign nationals to join their U.S. citizen family members for specific purposes.
The K-1 visa is for fiancés of U.S. citizens, allowing them to enter the U.S. to marry their U.S. citizen partner within 90 days of arrival. After marriage, the foreign national can apply for adjustment of status to become a lawful permanent resident.
The K-3 visa is for the spouse of a U.S. citizen who is awaiting approval of their immigrant visa petition. This visa allows the spouse to enter the U.S. while waiting for the green card application process to be completed.
The V visa allows spouses and children of lawful permanent residents to enter the U.S. while waiting for their immigrant visa petitions to be processed. Documentation for these visas includes proof of the familial relationship and approval of relevant petitions.
